John Cratchley I first heard this band on one of Mike Chadwick's 'Jazz FM' shows (I have very fond memories of Decoy Records in Manchester and how they helped me build my collection back in the 90's...) and was knocked out by them.
Part of that 'Swiss School' along with Ronin and Sonar who play with repetition and time signatures to great effect (there, I think, the similarity ends and we have three very unique bands...I mustn't forget Don Li in this equation).
So, Plaistow; totally accomplished, highly original, very satisfying and worth every second you invest in listening to them...not a difficult listen but involving.

Dillon Ethier Really well-done polyrhythmic Swiss jazz. A few of the tracks are more minimalist ambience than jazz proper, but it's all good stuff. Thanks again to Ed for the find. Favorite track: Sous La Peau.

Ed Buckley More piano jazz, this Swiss trio is very good. Their work often drifts into a minimalist vein, occasionally touching on an almost free style. I feel it well worth a listen.
